The Sioux Falls show went to 3 days this year. I went for Friday and Saturday.
Quincy won his class both days, but no points.
Joey was select both days for a couple more points. He's almost there!

This year Lincoln has a 4 day cluster of shows. It is the same weekend as Rapid City, SD (I really like the Rapid City shows, but LIncoln is waaaaay closer). I attended three days of this cluster (Thursday, Friday, Saturday).
Quincy showed on Thursday and Saturday. He did a nice job showing, blue ribbons, but no points.
Sophie showed on Friday only. She is not showing her best. She was 2nd in her class.
Joey showed nicely. He looked good. No Best of Breeds:( Joey got Best of Opposite on Thursday. He was Select on Friday. He got dumped on Saturday.
That was how it went.
Joey was the only dog I took to Mason City this year. He was Select for more points toward his Grand Champion title. It was a beautiful day.
Our Kennel Club had a non sanctioned fun match. The Mason City club has been gracious in letting this on. It was a good time.
This show is another of my favorites. Lots of dogs, people, and vendors. The Papillon Regional Specialty is held on Friday of this show weekend.
I decided to show only Papillons because at the time entries closed, I didn't know if Joey would still show ok or not, so decided to concentrate on the Paps.
Sophie went second in her class of 5 at the specialty, which I was pleased with. On Saturday she went 2nd out of 4. and on Sunday last place....OH NO! Sandra Goose Allen was the judge and she did not like her in Topeka either. She appologized, but that is the way a dog show goes. SGA is such a nice person, I don't even mind losing out under her:)
This was Quincy's debut and he did excellent! Q got dumped in the Sweeps, but got 1st in his class at the Specialty and then recieved Best Puppy in the Specialty! There were a total of 9 puppies, so I was pleased. On Saturday, Q won his class and that was it, although his sire went Winner's Dog for a major. Congrats Seiger! On Sunday Q won his class and then was Reserve Winner's Dog. As much as Ms Allen disliked Sophie, she loved Q. This was an important out for Quincy, because he is a different style Papillon for me; a little bigger than I usually show, but excellent conformation. He is in the height standard, so I hope judges recognize his quality inspite of him being a little taller than some. That's it for news from this show.
I always enjoy the Topeka shows. Topeka has a nice show site and it is fun to see all the "dog" friends to the South!
This was a rough show for the Papillons. I took Sophie and Dukati. Dukati was 2nd in his class on Thursday and Friday. He did win the class on Saturday. Sophie was 3rd on Thursday, 2nd on Friday, and 1st in the class on Saturday. Sadly, no points received
I decided to try bringing Joey back out to finish his Grand Champion title. Joey has not been in a conformation show since May of 2009, so I was not sure how he would do. Well, showing Joey was the highlight of the weekend! The first day he went Best Of Opposite to one of the top Havanese bitches in the country and over one of the top males in the country. This was his first major (4points) and first champion defeated. The second day was Select Dog for his second major (5 points) and another champion defeated. The third day he was select dog for his 3rd major (4 points). So in one weekend he has 13 points; 2 majors; and 2 shows with champions defeated! Waaaaaay fun!
Mark went along and had a good time too. He enjoys seeing all the dogs and listening to the "dog" conversations.
Mark and I went to Omaha. This is always a fun show because there are lots of vendors and AGILITY! Mark enjoyed watchng the agility. We had fun with "dog" friends too.
Sunday was the only IG again and didn't do anything in group.
Sophie won her class, but nothing else:(
Nothing else to report from this show.
Fun day today! Sunday was the only IG entry so she was BOB. Thanks to Bre Ehlers for showing her in group. Bre is a great handler!
Sophie went WB, BOW, BOB and then got pulled in group! Very fun. It was also nice that my mom, my sister and her family and some friends were able to come and watch (thank goodness we did well!) It was a fun day.
I have always loved going to Fargo. Fargo is a fun town to visit. This town is growing and building. It changes every year!
Had a great time visiting with "dog" friends. This is my favorite part of dog shows anyway:) The show was at a new site this year and for me, I think I liked it better than the old site. Good job Fargo Kennel Club!
However, the dog showing part was a disaster! Dukati got last in his class each day. The other 2 dogs in his class were substantially larger than him. Sophie was 3rd out of 4 the first day and last the other 2 days. Wow! I haven't had that much losing in a long time.....guess it keeps me humble. To be honest, I considered giving up showing after losing so badly.....but a new day came and I dream of possibly doing better at the next show:)
Well there will be no pictures from this show....hopefully next time!
Saturday......The day started disasterous as it was pouring cats and dogs. It was not nice! But, had a great time seeing some friends I had not seen for a while. Today, Sophie was Winner's Bitch and Best Of Opposite; Dukati was Winner's Dog, Best Of Winner's, and Best Of Breed! It was a blast!
Sunday......Not as wet today:) Dukati went reserve and Sophie got second in her class of 3. Not as successful as yesterday, but I"m pleased with the weekend.
